From Classrooms to Communities: Building Better Health Through Play
From Classrooms to Communities Building Better Public
Health Through Play

Public health is not just about policies, statistics, or global initiatives. It is about real people, real choices, and real change—right where we live, work, and learn. Every year, National Public Health Week (NPHW) shines a light on the people, programs, and policies that shape the health of our communities. Along the same lines, we celebrate NPHW during the first full week of April. That celebration serves as a platform for communities, organizations, and individuals to come together and champion the well-being of all.

In 2025, National Public Health Week (NPHW) 2025 is celebrating its 30th anniversary. It’s theme “It Starts Here,” is more relevant than ever. Public health begins in our daily habits, in our schools, in our workplaces,. But also, it begins with decisions we make as individuals and communities.

Along these lines, at Indelible Learning, we believe in the power of innovation to drive meaningful change in public health. Through our cutting-edge learning games, we’re tackling some of the most pressing health challenges. Those include: civic engagement, infection prevention, and sleep health—one interactive experience at a time.

Civic Health: Election Lab Online

A thriving democracy is built on informed participation. However, understanding the complexities of elections and the impact of civic engagement can be overwhelming. Election Lab Online transforms the way we learn about the electoral process, turning it into a dynamic, engaging game where players experience real-world decision-making, strategy, and the consequences of their votes. Furthermore, by making civics education interactive and immersive, we’re not just teaching about elections—we’re strengthening civic health, a critical component of public well-being. Because public health is shaped not only by medical advancements but also by the policies and leaders we choose to support. It starts here—with informed, engaged citizens who understand that their votes shape the world around them.

Preventing Infections: Bubble Beats Hand Hygiene Trainer

Another key point: public health starts with something as simple—and powerful—as clean hands. Every year, preventable infections spread in hospitals, schools, and workplaces due to poor hand hygiene. That’s why we developed the Bubble Beats Hand Hygiene Trainer, a game that turns proper handwashing into an interactive experience. Using cutting-edge technology and engaging game-play, Bubble Beats helps players master the techniques needed to reduce the spread of germs and infections. By making hand hygiene fun, effective, and memorable, we’re not just improving personal habits—we’re protecting entire communities. It starts here, with clean hands saving lives.

Sleep Health and Accident Prevention: End of Imperial

Another important topic: sleep deprivation is a silent crisis. It fuels car accidents, medical errors, and chronic health conditions. Yet, too many people sacrifice rest without realizing the consequences. End of Imperial is more than a game—it’s an eye-opening experience that teaches players about the dangers of drowsy driving, the science of sleep, and how small changes can prevent devastating accidents. By engaging players in real-life scenarios, this immersive game doesn’t just educate—it transforms behavior. Public health starts with well-rested individuals making safe choices, and through End of Imperial, we are leading the way in sleep health awareness and accident prevention.

A Call to Action: It Starts Here

In conclusion, National Public Health Week reminds us that the future of health isn’t determined by chance—it’s shaped by the bold choices we make today. At Indelible Learning, we believe the path to better public health starts with education that inspires action and innovation that meets people where they are. Whether it’s ensuring people understand the power of their vote, improving infection control through better hand hygiene, or addressing sleep deprivation to prevent accidents, Indelible Learning is committed to making public health education impactful, engaging, and transformative.
